Pet Surgery in the City of Central, LA
We know that it can be a stressful time when your pet needs an operation. At Crossroads Animal Hospital, we’ll be with you every step of the way.
Prior to surgery, our veterinarians highly recommend Pre-Anesthetic Blood Workup, Chest X-Rays, ECG (electrocardiogram), and Urinalysis ensuring the safest possible anesthesia & surgical experience for your pet. We perform laser therapy after all surgeries to accelerate the healing process and decrease inflammation.
We generally use a combination of injectable and gas anesthesia. Patients are closely monitored during surgery using state-of-the-art monitoring equipment as well as having a trained veterinary technician physically monitoring throughout the procedure. Pain is well controlled with any surgery using a combination of pre-surgery medications as well as sending home pain medication.
Our veterinary team will be diligent in ensuring we cure your pet’s ailment and call you with the good news during the operation. Multiple members of our staff will be on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly in the operating room.
